Bento (弁当 bentō) is the Japanese word for a meal packed in a lunchbox. A typical homemade bento is a healthy balance of several different dishes—including rice, fish or meat, eggs, vegetables, pickled foods, and sometimes fruit—all neatly packed into a compact, space-saving bento box.  In this class, you’ll learn how to prepare delicious Japanese-styled bento lunches at home, get hands-on experience making onigiri and a few other dishes, as well as stuffing a bento box. Samples will be served.
