Bird Watching Basics

Are you looking for a new and exciting way to connect with nature? Come learn the basics of identifying birds and how to participate in February’s Great Backyard Bird Count. Dallas County Board naturalist Mike Havlik will guide you through field marks, behavior, and calls to help take the mystery out of backyard birds. Participants will also step outdoors to look for birds at the library and put your new skills to the test. The first 15 people to sign up will also receive a free DIY recycled bottle bird feeder kit.
