"Folding Cranes, Enfolding Community" - Pamela Douglas

Exhibition Description:

This intricate, three-dimensional memorial exhibit features hand-folded origami paper cranes. Each handmade crane honors the memory of an Iowan who died from COVID and the total number of cranes on display reflect the 397 lives lost to COVID in Dallas, Greene, Adair, Boone, Madison, and Guthrie counties. When possible, the cranes include the handwritten name of Iowans lost to the virus.
