Learn how to turn outdated books into folded book art! In this free online class, crafter Joyce Petro will take you step-by-step through the process of book folding: from choosing the right book and reading a basic pattern to creating perfect folds while avoiding the pitfalls many beginners encounter. Workshop participants will be provided with a printable version of the pattern used in the video so you can follow along at home. 

For supplies you will need: 

  • a hardbound book of at least 488 numbered pages that is at least 8 inches tall*
  • the provided printable pattern
  • a pencil
  • a ruler with centimeter/millimeter markings

Registration Required for this online class. Those who are registered to "attend" will be emailed a private link to the class video and the book-folding pattern—so double check that you have entered a valid email address! The class video will only be available to view from Saturday, June 13th at 1:00pm until Saturday, June 27th at 1:00pm. 


*If you do not already have a book that will work for this craft at home, a very limited number of books will be available for by appointment curbside pick-up at the Library. Please note when you register that you need a book.
