Teen Short Story Writing Competition Ends

Young writers in grades 6-12 are invited to submit unique stories up to 1,000 words. Any theme or genre is welcome. Starting November 1, writing may be submitted electronically as a pdf via the library’s website, or paper copies may be delivered to the library. The deadline for submissions is 4 PM on Sunday, November 27. Paper submissions should include the author's first and last name, grade, and either a phone number or email address to be contacted if they are the winner.

Members of the library’s Teen Advisory Board will judge the entries on Monday, November 28, and a winner will be announced on Tuesday, November 29. The winner will be awarded a $25 gift card to Half Price Books.
