A Note for Parents & Caregivers:

Storytime is not just for kids! Our Storytimes are designed to demonstrate for caregivers how to teach early literacy skills. Please sit with your child and participate even if your child is shy. Children learn by example, and you are their best role model. If your child does become disruptive, feel free to leave the room together and return when he/she has calmed down or try again another day.

Ages listed for storytimes are a general guideline, as particularly in these first years, children develop skills at different ages. If you have children in more than one storytime age group, it is usually recommended to start by attending the program for the younger child. Please visit with our youth services staff before or after a storytime program to determine the program that will best fit you and your children. You can also email our youth servcies staff with additional quesitons.
