Young writers in grades 6-12 are invited to submit unique poetry or stories up to 1,000 words. Any theme or genre is welcome.

Starting November 1, writing may be submitted electronically as a pdf or google doc link via the library’s website, or paper copies may be delivered to the library. All young authors will have the option to have their work made available to the public after the contest. The deadline for submissions is midnight on Sunday, November 26.

Members of the library’s Teen Advisory Board will judge the entries in the following weeks, and a winner will be announced on Tuesday, December 12. The winner will be awarded a $50 gift card to the Reading In Public Bookstore + Cafe.
