Exhibition Description:

From the vast cornfields to sunflowers blowing in the wind, local scenery has inspired this collection of paintings. Painted en plein air and from photographs, these watercolor and oil paintings show Iowa in all its natural splendor. Constance Fischer, a native New Yorker, relocated to Dallas Center six years ago. She paints the Iowa landscape inspired by its beauty. From the local gardens to the Raccoon River and the Brenton Arboretum, she depicts the local areas to show its unique splendor.
