The City of Waukee is gearing up for a Special Census, and we want YOU to help us count every resident. Our updated population count could help us qualify for the funding we need for services we all rely on, from street repairs to education for our children. You can help your community by working as a Field Representative or Supervisor this summer. Training is paid and hours are flexible across days, nights, and weekends in June and July. Whether you need a job this summer or just feel a strong sense of civic duty, our community needs your help! Bonus–you can meet more of your neighbors, enjoy a pretty Iowa summer, and get some extra steps in. A few office roles will help support the special census work.

Current openings:

Field Representative: www.USAJobs.gov/job/752213900 ($16-$26 per hour; training in early June)

Field Supervisor: www.USAJobs.gov/job/772066700 ($21-$27 per hour; training in late May; apply by March 15)

Clerk: https://www.usajobs.gov/job/775794600 (must reside in Dallas County or Warren County by the time of hire)

Who should apply?
These roles could be a great fit for teachers and school staff on summer break, college students, retirees, people looking for a temporary side hustle as well as anyone who wants to help our community. You must be 18 years or older and a U.S. citizen to apply for these jobs with the U.S. Census Bureau.
