Meet in the Library’s Coal Mine Meeting Room at 2:30 PM on the first Thursday of each month (except January and July) for a lively book discussion. Copies of each month’s book may be picked up at the Library’s front desk or during the meeting, while supplies last. This month we'll discuss All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Witaker.

No time to attend an evening or weekend program? Try our Snacks & Facts series! We’ll have a speaker the first Friday of each month, now held in the library! Come ready to learn and we’ll provide the snacks! Stick around afterward for Waukee Parks & Recreation’s bingo at 1 PM for $1 per play.
This month, novice and advanced gardeners can learn useful facts about vegetable gardening from an experienced gardener from the Ted Lare Design Build & Garden Center.

Visit with adoptable cats and kittens at the library! Whether you’re looking for the newest member of the family or just need some kitty snuggles, our friends from Whiskers TNR have you covered! Adoptions on-site are not available, but all ages are invited to this meet and greet session. Whiskers TNR volunteers will answer your questions about adoptions and the Trap-Neuter-Return program. Drop-in anytime between 10 AM – Noon.
