A fun take home project with a different theme each month. Packs come with most of the needed supplies to take home and make. This month participants will make String Art.
For adults ages 18+.
Registration is required, limit one pack per household.
Call the Dial-a-Story phone line at (515) 981-7800 any time to hear a selection of books and songs prerecorded by library staff. New stories are available on the first of each month.

"Outside, Looking In” is an art quilt exhibit, created in 2023, that was formed to increase mental health awareness in our community. It has since grown to more than 19 quilts. The installation includes personally constructed art quilts along with educational information on mental health diagnoses. The Art Gallery is open Monday-Friday 9 AM-3 PM, Saturday 9 AM-12 PM, and Sunday 12-4 PM. If the meeting room is in use, the gallery will be closed to the public. Want to visit at a certain time? Call the Library at (515) 978-7944 to check availability.

Registration required. Available for pick up during regular library hours between April 1st-7th. Any packs that are unclaimed by the end of the designated pickup dates will be available to be picked up in the Library on a first come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Enjoy 20-25 minutes of short stories, songs, and lots of movement followed by playtime to build early literacy skills.
For kids 18 mo.-3 years old and their caregivers.

For kids who can sit still for longer stories to develop school readiness. This is generally kids 3.5-5 years old and their caregivers.
